I have enjoyed the count on us yougurts from a food dept store both with low sugar and sweeteners....I have no problems taking sweeteners...
I was just wondering if any other t2 members have tried the deserts in the range of count on us....not sure how to work the sugar and if the sweetener is included....
The trifle looks tempting for the odd treat.....

Any one who has tried, I would love to hear from you....

( metformin hba1c 6.1 )

It's the total carbs you have to look at not just the sugars, the trifle has 28g carb and the lemon muffin 26g, far too high for me I'm afraid, and many others on here too I suspect, I am not an extreme low carber but stick to around 90g a day - so that would be more than my main meal taken up.

If you have a meter the only way you will know is to try them and test - maybe you will be ok, depends on what you are happy with or you may be lucky and be able to tolerate them :-)

I don't low carb, it's the sugars I am struggling with, but thank you for kind response x

Nothing wrong with a birthday treat, unless your the Queen and I'm guessing your not you only have one birthday a year so enjoy :-)

Lol I will have a count on us trifle then.....and I do have two birthdays......( royal wave) xxx

One does have two birthdays ......

Lol Kat - I have to say I've tried all the COU range and I love them all :) I don't really low carb or check the sugars in foods(which I probably should do). But I don't have any spikes after I've eaten them.

Happy birthday :)

Kat100. Happy birthday. Did you know they are good for you? Research has proven that the more birthdays you have, the longer you live.

I only have plain greek yogurt and no ready made desserts at all

Just wanted a trifle as a birthday treat x
I LOVE trifle so know how you feel!
I make my own with sugar free jelly with chopped strawberries mixed in, birds custard made with semi skimmed milk (add sweetener) and a squirt of aerosol cream with a grating of dark chocolate on top. Makes 4 portions. Approx 16g carbs and 134 calories each portion. Yummy!

I made a lovely trifle the other day just for me, Johnny doesn't like it ;)

We have a lot of raspberries from the garden and after freezing they produce a lot of juice so I drained them off, heated the juice and added gelatine and when it had melted, added some Splenda, mixed the raspberries back in and poured it on a wee bit of commercial sponge. Probably not practical for really low carbers but the amount of sponge isn't a great deal with each serving and it didn't affect me at all. When it was set I poured on custard made from eggs and milk and topped it with whipped cream. A totally decadent and fab dessert. Took a bit of work but it was worth it :D Hmmm, probably should have put this in the recipe section. Oh well

But I do believe that you could have a bit of whatever you like on your birthday! Go for it Kat

Lol Kat :hilarious: Thought you had had a wee birthday drinky and were feeling jolly! I have a friend who texts but she can't do it really. She uses no punctuation, it all runs together and it takes several reads to make any sense of it! I love predictive text but with her it's a curse :D

Love your avatar, we have 3 cats and one of them is a black one with the face of an angel......not an opinion the birds share ;)

I love cats, have loved and lost two, not ready to take on another one at the moment.....so I follow cat web sites to support others and try and find lost cats.....

But I do have a visiting cat who comes everyday to visit ......likes a dish of chicken which I have to buy and keep in the fridge, as he turns his nose up at cat food.....:/ I am a veggie, but still buy the chicken......

Popsy, like the sound of your friends texting skills....it is fun !!!! Lol the words I could post if I did not check lol. .........

Cheers for now ......Kat x
