Hi All
I have been comparing carbs on the back of packets and tins with whats in the DAFNE book and there is quite a bit of differance with some things ie Baked Beans 200g 26.7gm of carbs in a tin
but according to the book its only 10grms per 200 grams
Help

Hi Kirk

My book, which is the Collins Carb counter, says 200g baked beans is 30.6

I would go along with what the manufacturer says as opposed to your own book with the lesser figure since they probably know what they put in there - one hopes! If you eat them test to see what it does to you.

Speaking for myself I couldn't touch them at that carb price!

I would always go with the manufacturer's label, only resorting to the book or my funky scales if no label is present, often the case with fresh veg etc.

I love baked beans (with a bit of Worcester sauce), and am pleased to report that since having some with supper earlier this evening, my bg hasn't gone above 6.8. A total result; it CAN be done!
