Had my second AZ covid jab last Tuesday, since then my bsl has plummeted and my freestyle alarm has been going off three or four time during the night, I'm still taking 26 units of abasaglar in the morning but haven't taken any novo rapid during the day for the last two days. Anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, I've had a similar experience with the Second Jab. However, I had an increase in Insulin requirements post-1st Jag so, for me, it's been more like returning to normal. I've only reduced my Basal by the smallest increment once so far, and it currently looks like I'm going to have to do so again. I did see quite a lot of improvement from that small decrease, however.

Thanks I'll give that a go.

Yep. 3 weeks after my second jab and my basal is still only 75% of what it usually is in order to minimise hypos.
My non-diabetic partner spent two days feeling light headed, nauseous and headachy. I never tested her blood sugars but may do when she has her second jab because her symptoms were the same as hypo for me.

Yep. Both doses I had severe hypos, and very sudden. I mean I tested and was 5.2 - 12 minutes later my husband ran upstairs, as he heard weird noises, and I was having a seizure on the bed. He run down to grab the glucgon, whilst calling the paramedics, tested me and I was below 2!

My hospital team said it was odd, and not correlated, as everyone else had only gone high, but seems I'm not the only one.

Fortunately, my second dose was just over 3 weeks ago now, and everything has calmed down, now but take care of yourself, ans keep checking.
