craving butter

Has anyone else found themselves occasionally wanting to eat little pieces of butter just straight from the packet?! As I've upped my intake of vegetables with smoothies and am lowering carbs, I've found that I've been craving butter and I know that I used to be low on vitamin D so I am wondering if I am again. I've never had any desire to do this before.
 
Yes I frequently have a small piece of butter. :) I also missed bacon butties and then discovered that if I put butter on the bacon I didn't really want the bread after all. I add it to veg as well.

As regards vitamin D I bought a test you could do at home and send away for results. Mine was 'very insufficient'. almost deficient levels of vit D.
 
Sounds like I don't need to worry - but that it would be worth getting my vitamin D tested again.
 
I can't say I eat butter on its' own though I do put it on veg a lot. But I do like Camembert cheese (especially with a glass or two of Merlot) and it does taste like butter to me, though a bit more solid.
