Hi guys

Hope you guys are well, or at least bearing up under the circumstances as best as possible!

Have another question for the forum. A few months ago I tested out adding protein powder in my diet and found that it worked well (in terms of a slight increase in muscle size and strength) and no overtly dramatic effects on my BSL.

I want to try and experiment with creatine as an aid to increasing strength and muscle size (funny thing is that post diagnosis I've trained much more regularly than I ever did in the past but with little noticeable increase in muscle mass??)

I'm not trying to be Arnie but just bulk up a tiny bit. Post diagnosis it seems like some ceiling has been reached with my muscle strength that is WAY lower than it was before???

Anyway, anyone try creatine here? How did you find it? I'm worried about effects on the old kidneys too btw, as my last EFGR was 81%

Your thoughts are appreciated!

Hi there just noticed this post.I once bought a protein shake with creatine in it, low carb, and noticed bloods near impossible to control(very high).after doing a bit of fishing with my health shop I was told that it's impossible for creatine and insulin to exist in the blood at same time.I'm not 100% on this but it makes sense based on my own experience.

Hey - Is not the amount of Creatine in one's blood important and too much can damage the kidneys? If so, why are we talking about adding it to the diet for whatever reason? Please explain because my doctor has put me on ACE Inhibitor to keep such levels down and thereby protect my kidneys which, at the moment, are wonderfully sound I might add.
