Good afternoon I haven't been around for a while so my apologies to everyone, I have just had the results of my HbA1c annual review blood test they ie total cholesterol to HDL ratio 5.2 they have sent me a text saying I need statins and I have to have a repeat blood test as my serum creatine has come back at 106 and GFR of 59 I would appreciate your comments my friends

One brief note:
I have found that I generally don't drink enough water.
When I had a very low eGFR I tried drinking extra water for a day or so before the next blood test and my numbers improved a lot.
Not advice as such, just something to be aware of.

I agree with @LittleGreyCat, being well hydrated for any type of blood test is a very good idea, I’ve found in the past it can make a difference to results and also for me the actual “blood letting” itself it easier

First thing in the morning I drink a glass of water. I drink 64 oz water every day. This has always helped my Comprehensive metabolic panel test.
