Creating an 800 cals diet/Newcastle style using meal replacement

Thanks for your feedback.
Yeah I have to keep experimenting...

Speaking as someone whohas lost an appreciable amount of weight on LCHF, if you lose it slowly, you don't look as if you need ironing.

I lost 5 stone so far and i am trying to fit back into my skin by training 5 days a week and thats after losing it slowly over 8 months

Does anyone know if collagen, eggprotein powder or beef protein powders are better than whey for T2? Should probably create new thread...

It's just so convenient to have a shake/smoothie.

The jury is out on this one. The people behind the ND diet did do some small studies when they were selecting their meal replacement shakes, and found whey was ok for diabetics. The following study suggest it is not suitable. The 'expert' i.e. manager in Hollnd and Barrett said it was a big no no for diabetics even though I was interested in buying some to try.

i have seen other negative reports on whey.

I think it increases insulin output, which is bad news if you are insulin resistant.

Yeah exactly. But eggprotein powder shouldn't give insulin spikes? It's just eggs.
I guess I have to test them. Collagen powder is said to be good as a supplement and it would be great in a low carb smoothie...
