I have lost 17kgs and my body weight is only slightly over normal BMI now, and I believe that to be due to my build after daily gym visits for past 7 yrs. I'm guessing if I reduced muscle my BMI would be within normal. Just got my second Hbc1a results which have reduced slightly from 6.5 to 6.2 after 5 months of LCHF. Good news is that it has slipped back to pre diabetes from what DNS was saying was boarder line T2. Must admit I wanted below 6 after 20% body weight loss and no starchy carbs. My diet is mainly fish & veg and fats and peanuts to stop further weight loss. fasting bloods was 5.5 three months ago from 6.5 in Feb. I Was self testing but my diet is pretty mundane so stopped. As I'm already low carbing can I reduce my Hbc1a below 6? Do I need to? Is something keeping it higher which Is hidden, like too many cups if tea with milk? At least my non fasting cholesterol is 4.4 down from 4.6 so the Greek yoghurt and cheese isn't harming.

Thanks jack412. Now I feel a little guilty that I got rid of my similar App to myfitnesspal when my weight loss stopped. It's very possible my portion size has increased and therefore my carbs. I have religiously stuck to no higher than 5 in every 100gs food stuffs with exception of peanuts and occasional Karg biscuit. But if I do overeat on fats like cheese and Greek yogurt a day maybe my total carb intake is too much.
