Hello,
I'm away for a week at the moment. Lovely weather and getting some much needed relaxation.
I've been diagnosed for a little while and made some big changes. I wasn't sure how to handle the holiday really so I took the following approach:
No regular testing (usually 7 to 8 times a day) I've been testing when I wake up and when I go to bed.
My logic is that of those numbers are creeping up I'm eating too many carbs.
What do you think? Sensible or not?
I've been mainly eating scrambled egg and bacon for breakfast and for lunch and dinner whatever meat they have with a bit of veg. The killer treat has been the amazing slices of pizza they have!
Drinks wise I don't do a lot of alcohol generally so have had a couple of beers but mostly coke zero and red wine of an evening.
Does anybody know how quickly your body will revert, like can I undo all the good I've done in a week?
Thanks
