I have been trawling through recipes tonight for a lamb curry and I must have wandered off the low carb site I was on and have managed to make a curry that has 107.7g of carbs in it. Granted it will probably serve 4 but am really annoyed.

As a new low carber I had no idea how many carbs were in the seeds and spices I use. I have been thinking that Iam eating virtually no carbs but actually there are hidden ones everywhere.

Am just going to enjoy it now and it is less than a takeaway with rice would be (have made LC onion bhaji's)

you live and learn :eh:

Lemonie, I looked on line and think that 4 tbs of coriander seeds is 8 carbs. US carb calculator sites include the fibre and so you have to take that off to get a UK measure of carbs. Anyway it looks like they are incredibly good for you, so I'm glad is was good!

Ah thanks for that. I will go and have another look. It didn't affect my BG much as was 4.8 before and 6.4 2 hours later. I was expecting more !!

Hi Lemonie, would it be possible for you to post your recipe for low carb onion bhaji's in the recipe section please, thanks in advance, Deb x
