Type 2 Custard & T2

It depends what you mean by custard, if made with custard powder or cornflour milk and sugar not really. If you make a creme anglaise with eggs, cream and sweetener then that is far more friendly - sounds daunting but really easy, lots of recipes on the web

Is custard T2 friendly?

have a look at thecarb content of the type of custard you want to eat, then see if it fits with your carb ‘quota’.

for me, custard is sickly sweet and usually full of rubbishy carbs. So I would always choose double cream instead and enjoy it far more. :)

Whip up some really thick cream with half a pint of water and then beat in some eggs, then warm it over a pan of hot water or use short bursts in the microwave, about 20 seconds at a time, until it thickens. Add vanilla essence or whatever flavour you like and that is proper custard.

google keto custard- We make some which I really really like.
