I also think it's definitely worth going on. It's free.
You might know some of the stuff already, but it's very useful to meet the other people.

Any dedicated time you can get with diabetes professionals should be jumped at, even if you've only a few minor adjustments to discuss.

The one day a week schedule means you've each got a week of results to discuss which should mean you can pick out some patterns.

Everyone should go on this course within a few months of diagnosis, otherwise there's a chance of losing heart due to poor results.

The only useful thing they don't do here is a refresher after the course to see how you're all doing.
Therefore it is a very good idea to swap numbers and email addresses and get together a couple of months later.
