    I have just completed day 3 of the DAFNE course and so far I’ve learned so much. I’m a relatively recent type 1 and so far I have managed my BG numbers by eating very little or avoiding certain foods altogether. Now I’m learned to carb count, things are making sense, and I’m beginning to realise I can actually eat a lot more than I thought I could whilst still managing my BG numbers. Yay! Such a good course, and it’s also great to meet other type 1s. You don’t get to meet that many in real life!

    @KC67 .
    It’s a great course isn’t it?
    It’s not the be all and end all of diabetes management but it definitely gives you a lot more tools to work with.
    You’ve probably also realised just how much you can learn from being around other T1’s.
    Enjoy the rest of the course.

    I echo all you say. The camaraderie is worth everything. I finished the week on a big high.
