Daily Mail at it again

So it lowers blood pressure, controls BG levels, helps patients loose weight by giving a 'full' feeling and delays stomach emptying and can help to keep T2's off insulin.

Sounds great to me, whats the problem?

The product in the Daily Mail article is liraglutide, which is Novo Nordisk's new equivalent to Byetta, but injected once a day instead of Byetta's twice a day. Nothing new - it does exactly the same as Byetta and will be just as hard to get on prescription because of the cost.

I have had enough of a battle with my dsn and doctor to test and still waiting for my appointment to get the kit. As I am diet and exercise only at the moment and if I were to slip down that slope how much of a battle would I have to get that.

I'm ineligible for any of these wonderful new treatments, because although I am still overweight,I have an Hba1c of 5.6% on metformin and low carb diet alone.
Metformin ( only the ordinary one, not the SR is Cheap! just a few pence per day)
