Daily Mail today 13th April

Is that an affiliated link there Listlad?
Not sure. If it is, is that important?

I simply discovered the website selling the book showing it had sold out. So thought it helpful to post it seeing as the book and the purchasing of the book had become a key part of the thread.

Yes, it is important. Is it your affiliate link?

I was simply googling for the Works. I do not understand your question or the rational for it.

Can you be more specific about what you are asking.

Message me if need be.

I imagine affiliate links, particularly where the poster of the link might be the beneficiary, are against forum rules.

I have no opinion on whether or not it would apply in this instance.

That is my reading of the veiled question. An accusation perhaps.

Thread derailment eh.

If you google The book title and The Works Up pops a series of options to select from. I clicked on The Works and that showed me the status off the book at the Works. Sold Out. I quickly posted it so that it could be seen it was sold out.

I can understand how and why someone might rather zealously point the finger. But I personally have no business interest in anything right now or any other benefit to be gained from the book itself or the link content itself. I was simply posting the link for the benefit of anyone wanting to check the Works out for the book.

So you can stop the Witch Hunt.

Your post has been edited to remove a link which gave the impression of being affiliated.

It's the duty of the moderators to check the posts abide by the forum rules. The word 'affiliate' appears in the URL so it was perfectly reasonable to ask whether it was your affiliate link. Asking a polite question for clarification is not a witch hunt. I know it's not nice to feel under suspicion, even for a moment but we shouldn't take it personally.

Interestingly, not for me.

Strike that, it appears it does.

Afiliated links are not permitted on the form, as often it infers personal gain. It appears in this instance to be some form of anomaly. Apologies

I have just read the article about the low carb recipes and wow, they look delicious. Who said low carb food was boring?, anything but. I also like the fact that they are not advocating extremely low carb for all but doing that little quiz that may give you a guide as to how low carb to go (anything up to 130 carbs) which is easier for some to accept. I know it's all about the numbers as well of course but overall, a great step forward and I think it will give people lots of hope.

It could have been handled differently, by private message. It didn’t have to include dangling me up for discussion in a doubtful way.

Back on track with this discussion please.

I hope that when the book is back in stock it is at or near the same price. I do not wish to pay Amazon's price when I could have it for third of that money. I am northern, I will wait.

Such is the fun of forum chicanery. The irony on derailment of the thread was not lost on me.

I bought the last copy at my local branch of The Works in a country garden centre. I was surprised cos I’m the only T2 I know in my area and quite irrationally thought the wouldnt be a rush! Suppose Daily Mail readers would have been encouraged to get it.
Be interested to see what price when they restock.
