Daily Testing

My husband has Type 2 diabetes but was not given the machine to test his blood sugar levels at home - do Type 2 not need to check this on a daily basis? He is on metmorfin.

In an ideal world yes he does, however getting the stuff on prescription is a bit of a postcode lottery. Ask your gp or diabetes nurse, if they will supply the meter and strips if not you may have to self fund it, you can normally get a meter free from most manufacturers how ever the strips can be costly
