most recent hb1ac from last week I was hoping to drop just a single number and get into the officially normal range. Instead I gained one. To be fair it’s a negligible difference and I’ve done much the same this time period as the previous but that 41 would’ve been nice. Still it gives me a goal for the next one.

Other levels weren’t good, ferretin only 6 and T4 still falling post op year ago (but still normal range just about so that’s good enough apparently!). B12 still good post supplements last year but half what it was. More iron pills prescribed. Maybe it’s all linked.

Always disappointing not to see the result you want, but as you said, there really is no difference and you are stable. Maybe a few less carbs and see what happens?
Onwards and downwards. :)

May not be the number you want but you are still keeping it going, I know you can get it lower with a little more work!

Yes I’m focusing on the fact that the numbers are still good even if not what I hoped for.

I’m currently struggling with low carbing (I have periodic spells of this and know I’ll come out the other side again soon :) ) so just maintaining the status quo is quite enough this week. I will need to put more effort into meals and prep ahead for lazy days otherwise the urge to snack is high and it’s hard to stick with just meals when they are not substantial enough cos I’m feeling too pooped to make something decent.

I hate counting and measuring etc and know I won’t maintain that for long so the next push will need some other strategies. IFasting might be the option but up til now I’ve found I need a non carb mini breakfast to put a stop to dawn phenomenon. I might need to short term weather that in order for long term gain. Something to muse on in the next few days.

Wishing you the best of luck there, I know it's hard to really make that final push but I know you can do it. I ended up just pushing through the dawn phenomenon myself here too and just doing 16:8 fasting. At least you know it means that you're flushing the glucose out? It's finding what works for you and going with it.

I ended up just pushing through the dawn phenomenon myself here too and just doing 16:8 fasting. At least you know it means that you're flushing the glucose out? It's finding what works for you and going with it.
Yeah I was doing 16:8 more often but have slid backwards a bit to get the short term lower figures. Like you say just needs a renewed push...
