Oh Happy Days
Update on our daughter - she is normal for 'now' they have said .
Will continue to test her every 3 months and want to still monitor her levels .
She has to test her blood sugars 3 times a day and try to amend her diet with more healthy
foods .
She has got some glucose piddle sticks to use with her urine .
So can test for protein/glucose in her urine.
[ I got her sorted out with a meter etc, last week as we had been using mine between us initially ]
The DSN says she is
soooo close to the "just normal" range - there is still a strong chance she ' will still ' get it
given her poor diet and ways !
I know this - yet am so relieved she has a chance to change/improve things .
It's just HOW to re-educate her without her going mad at 'us' [me and her dad]
Then I get angry at her anger and stubborness to change etc .
Medically the DSN [GP surgery based] and her own GP are willing to keep they're eye on her .
So to keep her checked and ongoing monitored is the best careplan and tactic medically for now .
She is happy to do this and agreed with all that was said too .
Relieved and happy parents her dad and myself
Kids eh - you NEVER stop worrying over them nor loving them ...
Anna.
