I'm very familiar with the Echo pen as I own two myself. However, I wasn't aware that they made it to accommodate Levemir.I think strategy for switching insulins is to play cautious and avoid hypos so it is quite probable that the dose is a little low. Are you confident to try adjusting, with Echo pen you can do those in 0.5u increments which is probably sensible for children.
Hi Torq, nope we can get Penfill cartridges in UK for both Novo and Levemir, same cartridge design.I'm very familiar with the Echo pen as I own two myself. However, I wasn't aware that they made it to accommodate Levemir.
EDIT- Must be a UK thing. Disregard my comment as I live in the US.
Sounds like she is turning into a teenager, if she spends more time in her room and starts to lose power of speech then diagnosis is confirmedWe changed hospitals, long story! But the one we are under now recommend levemir, as far as I know thyroid and anaemia ruled out, she has always loved her bed, just noticed recently that she loves it a bit more... I think we will see how tomorrow goes and increase by half a unit, not sure if I'm being too cautious! Seems like only the other week we were setting our alarms so make sure she didn't go too low! And now she's high!
Onwards and upwards, I do appreciate the input just nice to know you are all there!
