hello again.

if as lots say the early morning blood test is unreliable due to liver dump etc then when is the earliest time to get results?

the morning is reliable, the level is determined by your hormones and drugs. It is a good indicator of your insulin resistance. it's normally the last number to get right on LCHF. as you have noticed, your afternoon numbers are getting good. you can also liver dump after hard exercise or very hungry.

morning jack.....i've seen in these forums advice to ignore early morning readings?

I didn't see it that way, I saw it as a valuable indicator, the same as my before tea and 2 hrs after my most carb meal of the day. it's just that it's not really reliant on my immediate or previous meal. I can't say, tomorrow I'll cut the carbs down from 15 to 10g for that meal and see a result on my fasting BG.
I found fasting BG is a long term thing. my after lunch, before tea, after tea are the first ones I got to change

my thanks to both jacks for trying to help me comprehend this LCHF way of life

I'd check your Gli and ask if its better to drop your morning dose and take your night dose ..as your BG comes down?
or split what ever dose it is?
