I didn't see it that way, I saw it as a valuable indicator, the same as my before tea and 2 hrs after my most carb meal of the day. it's just that it's not really reliant on my immediate or previous meal. I can't say, tomorrow I'll cut the carbs down from 15 to 10g for that meal and see a result on my fasting BG.
I found fasting BG is a long term thing. my after lunch, before tea, after tea are the first ones I got to change
