Well, I started the low carb again yesterday and today my sugars have been great:
6.10am 7.9mmol - cup of coffee with cream
8.00am 7.1mmol - 2 eggs scrambled with a little milk (3g) - 3 units of humalog
11.00am 8.6mmol - 0.7 unit correction
12.30pm 7.2mmol - soup (10g) - 1.5 units of humalog
so far so good so will see how the rest of the day goes.
I had some highs yesterday which I wasn't really sure about but the highest was 12.0 mmol which isn't really that bad.
I have quite brittle Type 1 diabetes and it has always been unstable. Low carb is definitely the way to go but I have noticed that even some low carb meals send me off course.
Yesterday I was 6.9mmol and had 40g cheese with 50g pickled onions which I worked out at 2g so gave 0.5 units of humalog yet after 2 hours I hit my high of 12 mmol??? Things like this still really confuse me
