Prediabetes DCUK mistake?

Struma

Well-Known Member
The email from DCUK that was sent last night contains a mistake in my opinion. I have looked around the site and can find no mention of it, perhaps just myself?

It states:
Canagliflozin marketed as Victoza.

Two very different drugs, two very different drug groups.

Not an easy mistake to make for a diabetes website I should have thought.

Apologies if it has already been thrashed out.

No further email received to point out the error.

@DCUKMod would you kindly remove the prediabetes label? I haven't a clue how got there!

Hi Struma,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is unfortunately a human error. Victoza was meant to read Invokana, as it does in the news article, and it is with regret that yesterday's newsletter was published without due diligence from the writers.

Please accept my apologies for the confusion.
