My MD took me off glyburide as I was having far too many hypos. He put me on Onglyza, about 30 days on it now.
I read that it's mechanism is to suppress appetite.
I didn't feel that the first several weeks but now my appetite has really dropped. My stomach just doesn't like to be or feeling full/sated.
I always wake up in the morning hungry but come lunch, I'm hardly interested in eating. If I eat anyway, come supper, I won't eat and only a little around 20:00. Some days I can eat a small lunch and supper, but I fill up very quickly, especially if I have bread. I don't like bread much anymore.
(I'm also on metformin, effexor, and a statin.)
Are others experiencing this?
Thanks, Gary
