Haha! It just made me laugh now looking at all the smileys, I love it! Thank you for your contribution, and thanks to everyone for picking random smileys to get the full house! I don't know if it should be as satisfying as it is, but it just is :) Absolutely. I think in my rant mode I was slipping into and out of sarcasm a bit too freely, and the result is the message was blurred. I absolutely believe that people genuinely love salads, and would rather have one than burger and chips. Just as I absolutely believe that other people would prefer burger and chips to a salad. That's why I have such a problem with judgmentalism: Why should one person become self-righteous just because the thing they *want* to eat happens to be healthy? Surely they should just be very grateful for their lucky tastebuds!? I don't generally find salads to be satisfying, certainly not as a main meal. But I do have a ton of salad "stuff" these days: celery, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, mixed leaves etc. Not a single one of those things 'does it for me' in terms of taste, but I do eat a lot of them, and use them to 'pad out' a small amount of the food I really like, to make a nutritious and filling meal. E.g. if I'm going to have one small slice of toasted low-carb bread with pate, then rather than have it as a snack, I'll make it into a meal by piling the plate with low-carb salady stuff. Which I generally eat first, so I can finish on what I like!
