Hi,
I'm new to the forum but feel it's probably the best place to solve my questions re Degludec. I've had T1 for 43yrs and always had good control with no complications thankfully. I do have the odd low blood sugar but function well on a BS of 3.5 or sometimes lower although I recognise it's a bit lie so test and eat something. Any lower tests are usually my fault if I've not eaten enough or been very active. At my annual review this week, the diabetes nurse has suggested I change to Degludec as I've been having 24 Levemir each morning - topping up with 11 at night (Novorapid during the day) .
I'm very concerned about the change and any side effects etc. I have read that the USA had not licenced it because tests showed increase risk of cardiac issues?
Has anyone been on it a while and how's it going? Thanks
