- People that dont understand diabetics and all that goes with having diabetes
Hi Folks,
Just a quick question, I went to the dentist yesterday for some emergency treatment during the visit I made it clear that I had type two diabetes and also said what drugs I was taking.
All seemed fine, I was then administered local anesthetic as per usual for which I have had the same several times before being diagnosed.
Before going to the dentist I ate lunch but on returning to work with the usual numb mouth, I started to feel really ill, to a point where I almost went home. When I did get home I measured my BG and found it to be 3.5, thats the reason for feeling **** then.
My question is has anybody else had this and what causes this lowering in BG. I asked my wife who is a Dental Nurse and she thought it could be the adrenalin which is added to some LAs.
