:( I am really down with all the pressure i am getting from my diabetic nurse all she seems to do is up my tablets .I am trying but the diabetic nurse she really depresses me I have to remind her about what i am taking and when she has done other tests. I am trying but am gradually losing the will to try anymore.I cant change to another nurse as she is the only one, and dont want to cause trouble. Do all of them act like this has anybody else had problems like this ?

Reading some of the posts on here I think a lot of people have problems with the NHS. I know I do. I only take 500 Glucophage a day so minimal meds. Given up on the diabetes nurse at my GPs so generally ignore her. I follow the advice on this forum and am trying a low carb diet and hoping to lose weight as well as control BS.

I think with the NHS you have to get what you can out of them - regular checks for feet, eyes, HBa1c, etc. and use your head to decide how it will be best for YOU to manage YOUR diabetes.

If you need more meds, take them. If you don't think you need them, ask why they're being prescribed. Don't just accept what they say - research it yourself and then make an informed decision. Accept that sometimes they're right, but not always.

I think we all feel a bit down now and again with diabetes. I had about 7 years of having so little energy all I could do was get up, drive my daughter to school and then sit in a chair all day until it was time to pick her up again, cook dinner and then go back to bed again. House like a tip. Husband thinks I'm a fat slob. Terrible role model for daughter. I literally wanted to die (still do sometimes)!

Now I'm back in control and slowly starting to get things done again. You can do it! Hope the black clouds lift for you soon.
