I've had the worst week and feel there's a black cloud over me! I can't shake it off, i went to the gym twice but didn't really find it helped and i have upped my anti-depressants but just keep snapping my hubby's head off and bingeing on chocolate now on the vodka. Any tips to help me shake it off?

I've been there honey.
Hitting the bottle isn't the answer though.

I find that playing with my pets makes me feel better, or going out for a walk in the fresh air. Even just having a good cry makes me feel better.

Ride it out, there's light at the end of the tunnel :)

Feel better very soon!

I know you're right but I'm my own worst enemy seems like I do the opposite that people tell me .. Hubby tried to make me go for a walk and although I knew it would help I refused so he went on his own
Pet idea is good I've always got time for my cat!

I used to drink loads too and I just ended up crying anyway!

Pets are a great healer, snuggle up to the cat, that should help!

I know what you mean about going for walks, I have to force myself to go sometimes haha

It's not self pity!
Talking about it and getting it out in the open makes it a lighter load to carry ;)

No need to be sorry, I will never feel better, I lost my wife to cancer last year aged only 56. I held my wifes hand as she died. I have been diabetic for about 3 years but now have become insulin dependant. Short term the drink helps, but it will kill me. Ohhh and I was made redundant after 18 years at work. Life sucks at times. I know how you feel x

I can't imagine how you feel after the loss of your wife but I hope you had many happy years and memories to look back on.
I sometimes think the diabetes is the least of my problems I've been type1 for 30+ years and been lucky so far
(touch wood)! Work is good and have a great family but still sometimes it isn't enough! Generally fall back on the drink to blot it all out but I know long term it's not the answer.
You have good cause to be depressed yet still you've got the kindness in you to support others I hope you find happiness again in the not to distant future! x
