Has anyone been on a Desmond course and is it any good if you are following Lchf diet.

The sandwiches they give you are OK .but I as far as Lchf goes no,you will learn more on this forum if you brouse for a hour or two , but stick with lowcarbing it will keep you BG numbers low and stop you getting those problems with your eyes, feet etc that Diabetic with poor control have

I found the DESMOND course useful in that it reassured me that I wasn't about to go blind, have my feet amputated, or get any complications if I controlled my condition.
The dietary advice is to eat portions not bigger than your fist, including carbohydrates. The nurse giving the talk did mention this forum and suggested we look at it, so perhaps she was hinting that there was an alternative to the official NHS dietary advice.
I have learnt more about this condition and how to deal with it on this forum than from the DESMOND course, but it is only about 6 hours.

I attended Desmond course couple of days ago. They cover diabetes2 causes ,complications and nutrition well in 6 hours.
we had to take our own lunch,so nice to eat your own diet food.nhs follows diet with portion size emphasis to control sugar level and weight.
