Like many of you, who use G6 paired to a funded Tslim CIQ pump, you'll have been told that certain 'well controlled' users have to fund the sensors themselves....the simple fact is well controlled is largely because of the pump and sensor, and resulting in lower NHS costs through less complications!!!

At £159 every month, I believe that the NHS think while we pay, they have no intent to fund, which is unfair and unjustified. I was certainly 'sold' this pump that NHS funding was coming for the G6...

So reaching out to see if:
a) anyone has challenged this situation successfully, and how,
b) how to go about an appeal,
c) possibly a group appeal.

Would be interested to understand how we can move forward, and how many are financially impacted by this set up.

NICE appears to recommend CGMS and the NHS are happy to fund suitable closed loop pumps.... It doesn't make sense.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Paul

All I know is that it is completely down to your local health authority rather than the NHS as a whole.
