Exciting news that Dexcom's new G7 has now received it's CE-mark, which means that Dexcom is allowed to sell the device now in Europe. There's some distinct advances on the G6, namely size as it's 60% smaller, now round and can be inserted with one hand, it's also more accurate than the G6 and the warm up has been reduced from 2 hours to 30 mins - personally the warm up time on the G6 is my biggest bug bear as my tandem slim relies on this data for control IQ, so I have a 2 hour window with no readings. It doesn't have a separate transmitter so the whole device is replaced every 10 days as it's an inbuilt transmitter. It has the ability to temporarily silence alarms also, which will help those with alarm fatigue. The clarity app and Dexcom CGM app are now combined too.
