I’m hoping to get a Dexcom G6, having been on the Libre 2 for many years. Has anyone else made this transition? What is the Dexcom like compared to the Libre (in terms of accuracy, alarms and other features)?

For me Dexcom is more accurate.. but others have said the opposite

I think the biggest difference is that the g6 can be calibrated.
I found Libre managed through xDrip (which allows calibration) better than g6 for me.
And found the Dexcom app very limited.
But why would you use the g6 when the G7 is now available unless you are using it for closed loop?

I was prescribed Dexcom One which also can be calibrated (as I use MDI rather than a pump.) I link it to xDrip. I find the data much more accurate than the Libre sensors.

Excellent, thanks everyone. Yes, it’s for closed loop. I’m doing DIY looping and my consultant suggested the G6. I’m pretty ignorant but of CGMs, didn’t know there was a newer version

G7 will be working with CL by the end of the year. Also it's warm up time is only 30mins from install. You get 12 hours grace period at the at the end of 10 days. Type One talks on YouTube said he installs the sensor 12hrs before he needs it. So it has time to settle. As install and use straight away can be slightly up and down with readings

Cool, thanks! I’ll ask my diabetes team as my CL is compatible with G7
