Type 1 Dexcom

I have been offered a trial on the Dexcom BUT is it essential to use a Smartphone. I am asking because I am visually impaired and only use a bog standard Doro phone.

It depends if you're offered a receiver to go with it. Im not sure if the receiver has a speak function that would tell you your BGs.

I would generally advocate a cheaper smartphone would be a good option, an older Samsung would be a good bet I think? otherwise I'm not entirely sure, sorry!
