As most processed meats have dextrose in them can I assume this unwanted addition is covered in the total carbohydrate in the nutrition listing. While at work I eat turkey or chicken strips for lunch. They contain 3g / 2g carbs respectively but they don't list how much dextrose is added. Any experts out there?

Desperately trying to keep my BS under 6 mmol to avoid beta cell burnout so every carb counts.

I would have thought that carbs identified on a nutritional label would include all carbs, including the dextrose.

Regards

Doug
