Hi All,
I was diagnosed with type 2 late last year.
Can somebody help me understand why I have this condition?
Since around 1997 I have lived as a vegetarian because of an intolerance to protein and meats (except chicken)
My meals have mainly consisted of pasta, spaghetti, vegetables, nuts etc, I guess it would be classed as fairly healthy, even my Doc agrees, so I am lost as to why I have type 2. I am told that I should have a high protein diet, red meat and low carbs.
Not quite sure on how I should eat and my diet, I guess just water then, Ha!!
Why do dieticians tell you different to Docs and why do, (in particular the USA docs/medical) give different evidence??
Personally, I think its trial and error and nobody has a definitive answer.
I do not blame anybody but at times its hard to know what to do
Regards Steve
