Hi BulkBiker thanks for the advice, my Diabetic nurse mentioned it a while ago but nothing progressed from there as she was supposed to be giving me some information but she left the practice and now because I am seeing a consultant again the Diabetic nurse wont see me again until I have met with my consultant. I have not seen my consultant for over a year as there was a mix up in communication and they said that I had not attended my appointment on 2 occasions but I had not received a letter, they have now acknowledged that it was their mistake so I am now waiting on my appointment. I have been browsing the Diabetes UK website and see that there is a lot of information and support from members in the successful use of the low carb diet so I will definitely be looking into this more thoroughly. Thanks again for the reply and information.
