Hey all,
Just wanted to post this topic, kind of as a warning to people taking exams with a little story!
Last year I was taking my AS level exams.. I hadn't been getting on well with one of my subjects (sociology!) But because of my determination to pass I tried my hardest, and toward the end of the year I was getting good results in mock papers etc.
I had two exams on different days, the first I did really well, and I thought it had gone as well as it could have.
On the day of the second exam, I didn't eat my lunch, as I was nervous, (the exam straddled lunch time) I was silly not to check my levels and during the exam I suddenly felt a hypo coming on.
Because of this my mind went blank and I literally filled in about 20% of the exam.
I ended up getting a D because I was too scared to tell anyone when I was in the exam. (the other exam was what saved me from getting a worse grade)
I just wanted to stress how important it is to let someone know when you're having a hypo especially in an exam because I can't change that now, and do test before an exam too.
I've never really told anyone that before, I find it hard to talk about, so thanks for listening
Jess
