Diabetes and living and work in U.K

Hi everyone,

I am a type 1 diabetic on novarapid and lantus. I recently graduated as a teacher here in Ireland. I am hoping to move to U.K from Ireland but I need sound advice before I go.
I would like to go to London and maybe teach as teaching positions are slim here.
My diabetes has never really been an issue for me, but this time it is because I never have lived and worked in U.K before.
If anyone out there can offer me advice, information on aspects of living and working in the U.k I would be very interested to know more.

Thanks
Caoireall.

Rude people! Not being able to do the things I want to do.
Once you are settled somewhere you need to register with NHS doctor in order to get your prescriptions etc. Therefore you would need to make sure that you have plenty of your medication to last until you register. Proof of identity such as passport would be required.

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
Shouldn't be any problem if you are well controlled. I was a teacher and worked alongside some T1s in my career.
