Diabetes And Low Oxalate Diet Experience?

Hi
I feel that I am fairly confident in following a low carb, high protein diet but for the last 18 months I have experienced regular hospital visits due to kidney stones and am now on a low oxalate diet. The problem I now have is that many of the substitutions I have made for a low carb diet are now out of bounds as they are high oxalate, e.g. sweet potatoes, spinach, lots of green veg, beans, nuts, lentils, wholewheat flour, to name but a few! Dark chocolate is included but I am not going to give this up!
I tried speaking to dietitians at my local hospital but they gave me no advice.
Is anyone else trying to deal with this? I got quite stressed about it earlier this year but now trying to eat everything in moderation but could do with more info if there is anything out there.

It sounds like something approaching a carnivore diet might be worth exploring. Good luck.

Thanks but unfortunately the kidney stone diet also requires a low protein diet! Another problem with linking it to the low carb high protein diet.
