What do you consider healthy? Because when you're diabetic, you can't process carbohydrates. In most diets which are considered "good for you", they're the main basis of every meal, and are therefor quite unfit for a T2... High blood sugars can damage the heart and arteries, so good on you for tackling things!

https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html this might help explain some dietary obstacles. If you have any questions, throw them out there, there's always someone around with answers. (Or plural, even). And if you can give us some details on what you eat and drink in a day, maybe we can help point out some things that affect your blood sugars adversely.

Anyway, welcome!

What medication are you on? Some have known side effects of raising bg. With a diagnosis and history of heart failure you are in the special category that must learn that the many comments on here that are anti statins DO NOT apply to you.
Also what do you eat? One person junk may be another's treat, and someone's healthy may be another's unhealthy
