Have you ever made a mistake/misjudgment , had an 'accident' that was your fault ( or typically blamed on someone or thing else0 all with humorous consequences.? And even repeated such mistooks ??
To start the ball rolling - and as described by me in another post: I was working with superglue. You know, hat stuff that sets quickly and where gloves just get stuck together and make them impossible to use?
Well, the other day, after a session with superglue, I realised that I had dried glue on my fingers, including the areas where i do finger pricks . Talk about a conundrum!
After considerable time begging with my wife I was allowed use of a modicum of her nail varnish remover. The acetone in it helps dissolve super glue. Mind you various promises were 'extracted' from me for this loan and a promise that next time my nails would be painted with her choice and colour of nail varnish. Nail varnish remover please ? No way. Learn from your mistakes !!

Not a diabetes related one this, as I've only just been diagnosed. However, it involves a certain level of physical discomfort/pain.

Our twins were having junior school sports day (they're 32 now, so you get an idea of how long ago it was) and I promised them I'd go and watch them, so I booked half a day's annual leave to go see them do their stuff. I got home from work and realised I had time to prepare that evening's meal, which I'd decided was to be a chilli, cooked from scratch, using fresh ingredients, including fresh mixed chillies.

I chopped it all up, onions, chillies, etc, put in the casserole dish, all ready for the evening, quickly washed my hands and then popped to the bathroom . I walked up to the school and sat watching the kids get sporty, but as I sat there, a certain part of my anatomy - the ummm... male part - started getting uncomfortable, then warm, then absolutely on fire! I had to dash home immediately to sort it out.

Moral of the story? The oil from chillies tends to linger, so really, really go overboard with the soap. Do it twice if necessary.
Ohhh, the agony!
