Went to quarterly Diabetes Clinic today. Met a new doctor to the surgery ... sociable, cheerful and interested in my progress.
Result of HBA1C Test is 42 mmol/mol (23.5 - 43.2). (down from 48 at diagnosis).
My doctor was amazed, and very happy for me ... he asked me "Have you discovered a miracle cure?"
I said "Sure, low carb diet, fasting, weight training, walking and indoor cycling, good sleep and relaxation exercises.
He explained that if this had been my first HBA1C result, they would have said I was non-diabetic!
As it is, of course, they will now consider me a "patient who had diabetes" and will continue to monitor the HBA1C quarterly for a while ... as he said "It's marvellous that you got there ... now you just have to stay there!"
And again, my thanks to the forum for all you have done for me.
