I don't know if it has anything to do with my diabetes but my number is at 1:40 and that's normal for me because it usually runs from 101 to 117 but I feel weak I feel like I'm going to throw up my body hurts

Hi and welcome to the forum @Blester . Are you in the UK ? Do you mean 140 mmol/Ls ? If you do those numbers are very high. If you are feeling nauseated with high blood sugars get yourself to hospital and get checked out. I'm not wishing to frighten you but high blood sugars with nausea may mean You are going into DKA. Please go to hospital

DKA means Diabetic ketoacidosis . Signs and symptoms of DKA are nausea / vomiting, abdominal pain , laboured breathing and confusion. It is life threatening. If no one can take you call 999.

Hi @Blester and welcome to the DCUK forums.

Those levels are a little confusing? 101 to 117 suggests you are using US figures mg/dL to measure blood sugar (about 5.5 to 6.5mmol/L) but I'm not sure what you mean by 1:40 ? If it's 140 mg/dL then that is about 7.8mmol/L which is still a normalish reading. 14mmol/L is highish but not generally dangerously so ?

Having said that, this is what the NGS says about DKA
140 mmol/Ls
I don't think meters read much higher than 30 or 40mmol/L and I think you'd be dead if your readings were 140mmol/L.

(Actually no, the world record is 147.6mmol/L or 2656mg/dL https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8235240/)

Feeling weak, hurting body, feel like you're going to throw up, and slightly higher numbers than you usually see (assuming 140 mg/dl).
Any chance you simply have the flu?
