Ok I am totally fed up with the Tapatalk app. Help @Giverny. The amount of times I have completely lost a post. Writing a post on a mobile app takes a lot of time and effort. What is up with Tapatalk?

Firstly it errors so often, usually because it has lost session state (which it misreports as endless permission errors). More importantly it has nonexistent error handling. Would it really be so hard for Tapatalk not to throw my message away every time it has a transient session state issue, due to its own extremely poor session management? Hardly rocket science. Or did someone swallow the REST manifesto?

Giverny I know that you and DCUK are not the owners of the product but hopefully you can exert some influence on the actual owners for a fix. This really isn't fit for purpose. It is would be bearable but there isn't even a manual workaround, because something about the Tapatalk implementation on Android totally breaks the text select features in the create/edit post window, so I can't even save my own work before I play russian roulette with the Reply button.

Hey @Spiker , sorry I didn't see this sooner. We're actually just about to apply an update to the TapaTalk software on our side. I agree with you though, the product they're offering is nowhere near as stable as it used to be. There seems to be a big difference from phone to phone - I have a nexus 5 running KitKat and ART rather than Dalvik. I see what you mean though - the entire app currently feels like a mismatched port from iOS

I've been in touch with the developers but it's really challenging trying to get a response from them, both on their forum and via their customer support. Will try and get the plugin updated today and hopefully that may fix some problems.

Thanks Jack. Yes that's about the only thing that would work, is to compose in a different app and then paste into Tapatalk. However that would mean I could not use any of the Quote capability in a Reply. Since I have no way to Copy out of the Tapatalk edit session.
