I considered it but the truth is that I don't know what you are supposed to do with that Mars bar.
Hmmm, you could ask Marianne Faithfull
There was a film called The Experiment where the only diabetic character died. It wasn't considered important to give him access to his medication.
Shame he wasn't in a coma through the whole film. Series even.in my opinion Jar Jar Binks was pretty much having a hypo through the whole film too...!

Snigger...Hmmm, you could ask Marianne Faithfull
Assuming it was a glucagon kit (was there any white powder?) that would have been a smart move if you can't test (if he's passed out from low blood sugar it will help, and if it's dka it won't do any harm) and it is not inconceivable that they might have noticed the kit and read the instructions
You beat me to it!!
Snigger...
You beat me to it! Does that date us?

....not at all I'm 158 but vaguely remember who Marianne Faithfull is...
I think the biggest problem is that people are not aware that the severity of the disease can vary giganticaly. Some people need to alter their diet slightly and they're fine, where T1s need to inject themselves every day NOT TO DIE. That's quite a difference, that most people is not aware of - that's where all those stupid comments come from.
I'm trying to think of another disease with a severity this diverse, but I can't think of any...
You wouldn't die within a week without your insulin whereas a T1 diabetic would?im type two and have to inject 4 times daily just like a type 1 so wheres the difference ?
Hi
I used to run an Electronic shop close to a Hospital, With many DOCs as customers one saw me with my lunch
in my hand, As I explained I had just had a Hypo, He said diabetes is caused by OBESITY.
My weight Was always 9 stone 7 ish?
I said I was told it was Brittle Diabetes Melitus Type One "He said NO Obesity"
I said "Good bye" and PLEASE Don't come Back ever to my shop!
I now Run an Insulin Pump some 30 years later "AND" I weigh 9 stone 12lbs
I had a think about this a little while back after a dream I had involving a nuclear war... Seriously. I had this dream where two atomic bombs went of in the distance & I survived.. In this post acocolypztic wasteland I carried a tenon saw in one had and a panel saw in the other..You wouldn't die within a week without your insulin whereas a T1 diabetic would?

Ha! Like people with HIV virus can go their whole life without developing AIDS and any problems, or they can get a full-blown AIDS and suffer? That's actually a good example, thanks! What about HIV/AIDS... ?

It's also kind of shocking enough that people may stop and think about it.
That's actually just like diabeticIt's my understanding someone who is HIV can be prone to infection & can take longer to recover from. Providing it doesn't "complicate"?
