My wife is a diabetic patient since last 8 years. She is taking Glyciphage PG1 morning and evening, Voglibose 0.3, Galvus 50.
Persons taking these tablets, kind request to educate me whether these tablets are to be taken before breakfast/meals/lunch or afterwards.
What are the side effects of these medicines? Regards.

I take Galvus 50mg tablets twice a day . One in the morning and one before bed sorry can't advise on the others but I'm sure someone who takes them will be along soon

Hi. I take Glucophage SR (Slow Release) and it can be taken before, during or after a meal. Glucophage standard non-SR version is possibly better taken with food to minimise stomach upsets but I don't have the leaflet for that. I'm not familiar with Voglibose as it doesn't appear to be available or used commonly in the UK; interesting. Glucophage has very few side effects. The non-SR version can cause stomach upset which usually settles after a few weeks; the SR version avoids this. I had a metallic taste for a few months which eventually went away
