High people, Thks for letting me join.
I've not been diagnosed, last year was in a accident and seriously injured.
Since my recovery my eye sight got worse very quickly, I was tired all the time, my left leg went numb on front of the thigh and would cause additional pain if touched in last few months my feet have got callouss and my toe nails have become thick and green. Today my right leg has become numb as well and I've got brown and my feet drive me mad itching spots on legs. I'm up about 5 times a night for the toilet. My friend suggested I might have diabetes.
What do I do now go to hospital as now concerned or wait till can get a doctor appointment

Hello and welcome

Obviously we can't diagnose here. I think with your symptoms you should make getting some medial treatment a priority. It may or may not be diabetes but whatever it is those symptoms are very concerning.

Good luck and let us know how you go.

Definitely doctor for an Hba1C (full blood test) and he can cover the rest.

But what you've written is a concern, so attention pronto is a must.

We cant diagnose most/all of us are not doctors so speak from experience.. and every case is different and we often work from limited information.

However

Many of the things you mentioned could indicate uncontrolled diabetes especially the going to toilet a lot

Numb legs and blurry vision is something I suffered

Due to poor blood flow any injuries to feet are a major risk. While callouses may not be a direct risk, it the skin get dry or crack there is a risk.. itching and scratching can also introduce risk

so I would say you urgently want to seek medical advice..

If you want to be referred to an urgent treatment clinic you could go the 111 route, which I think you’d be justified in calling..

If you want to go the regular route call your gp practice and make an appointment with your gp if the wait is to long as if you can see the urgent care clinic

Please don’t leave it too long as you could rapid find your self having a long stay in hospital if it gets much worse

It may not be diabetes and atleast you have started the ball rolling in the right direction to finding out what is wrong

Anyway good luck

Call 111 as GPs will be closed tomorrow as it’s a bank holiday
