Hi guys, Im 30 yrs old, been a diabetic for 26 years now and I'm thinking about getting pregnant within the year! Last year when I saw my doc she said my A1C was too high for pregnancy (reading at 8.8 ) 2 months ago it was at 7.5. It's not the best, but I am trying a lot harder and seem to be getting better results.
Now my question to you guys is how difficult is it dealing with this while pregnant ? What should I be aware of ? The do's the dont's ...etc. thanks :)

hi Meli26

I've never been pregnant but I have read stories on here of women with T1 who have been able to have successful pregnancies. They key seems to be having really good control throughout the pregnancy. There is a pregnancy subforum where you can read about this too.
