i quite regularly have to use sugar to control my blood sugars. i recently went to the dentist and he said that if i dont stop having sugar so often, i may end up needing dentures very soon. I do not want this to happen as i am only in my teens.

i know i shouldnt realy need sugar (dexrose tablets) to control my bm, but i cant seem to get it under control.

any ideas on this?

Have you tried carb counting,Shellie? If you keep a food diary for a week it can give you some idea what puts your blood sugars up and down. Are you on insulin? Maybe you are taking too much insulin for the amount you are eating, again a food diary might help you see a pattern.Welcome to the forum BTW and I hope you will find some good tips on here.

Knowledge is the key to control

I guess teh obvious answer is to take a toothbruch with you and brush your teeth after the dextrose tablets?!
Not very helpful..and teh carb counting idea is better.
The key is that if you are having hypos, you need to eat/drink something ASAP. Depending on what you are doing, and how much notice you get etc etc, you could try something other than the dextrose? Would biscuits be better for your teeth?
It is years of diet coke drinking that have made my teeth so bad!
