I've never been prescribed meds, although I was told I may need them. It seems the half I was left did step up and take over production. However I havent had any tests for a long time now. My first prediabetic  test was 6 years after the surgery ( but no one ever told me about it)I do wonder if the diabetes and thyroid  are linked, both hormone related after all</blockquote>
